What to say about myself? Uhh, let’s start with some facts.
Name: Lizzie
Age: 23
Sex: Female
Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish.
Education: Bachelor’s in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics with minors in English, Spanish, and RHIM (Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management) from Texas Tech University For more details on why I picked these areas of study click here.
Occupation: Dietetic (Nutrition) Intern in Puerto Rico
Past occupations: Student Manager for a hospitality location at the Student Union Building in my university. Before I was promoted, I worked at a smoothie shop there. I also worked seasonally as a cashier at a grocery store in my hometown while I went to university (…I write about my experiences there, so I grant the company privacy…).
Now to the fun stuff. More personal things.
Hobbies: Reading, singing, and most recently, this blog. I always go back to reading and singing, but some of my other favorites are baking, video games (casual Nintendo girl), painting, and balloon twisting. I have dabbled in drawing, cooking, poetry, skateboarding, running, swimming, video editing, piano, and probably a ton of other stuff I can’t remember. I like to say that my main hobby is trying out new hobbies.
Pets: My family had dogs and fish growing up. We also had a couple ferrets, a bunny, and some mice for variety. (The mice were my idea. The baby mice where the mice’s idea.) Currently we have a dog named Misty and a turtle named Frankie. These and my name are the only names in my blog that are not pseudo names.
Family: I have a mom and dad who have been married 20+ years and a brother who is about one year older than me.
Culture: My family and I are from Mexico. However, I have lived in Texas all of my life. Despite all of the craziness going on lately, I am proud of my Hispanic heritage and United States nationality.
Relationships: I have been in one relationship. I met him when I was about 21 years old in the year 2017. We dated, mostly long distance, for nine months. Links to blog posts that involve him here.

Ocupación: Internada de Nutrición y Dietetics en Puerto Rico
Ocupaciones Pasadas: Gerente de estudiantes de Hospitalidad en el edificio de estudiantes en mi universidad. Antes de que me promovieran trabajé en una tienda de licuados ahí. También trabajaba en un supermercado como cajera durante los veranos y inviernos cuando iba a la universidad. (…escribo sobre mis experiencias ahí, entonces le concedo privacidad a la compañía.)
Ahora las cosas divertidas. Cosas más personales.
Pasatiempos: Leer, cantar, y recientemente, este blog. Siempre regreso a leer y cantar, pero otros de mis pasatiempos favoritos incluyen hornear, jugar video juegos (Nintendo casual), pintar, y la globoflexia. He incursionado en dibujar, cocinar, escribir poesía, andar en patineta, correr, nadar, editar videos, tocar el piano, y un montón de otras cosas que ni puedo recordar. Me gusta decir que mi pasatiempo mayor es intentar nuevos pasatiempos.
Mascotas: Yo crecí con perros y pescados. Mi familia también tuvo un par de hurones, un conejo, y unos ratones para variedad. (Los ratones eran mi idea. Los ratoncitos era idea de los ratones.) Al momento tenemos una perra llamada Misty y una tortuga llamada Frankie. Esos nombres y el mío son los únicos nombres en mi blog que no son pseudo nombres.
Familia: Tengo una mamá y un papá que han estado casados por más de 20 años y un hermano mayor por un año.
Cultura: Mi familia y yo somos de México. Aunque, yo he vivido en Texas toda mi vida. A pesar de toda la locura reciente, estoy orgullosa de mi herencia hispana y mi nacionalidad estadunidense.
Relaciones Románticas: He estado en una relación. Lo conocí cuando tenia casi 21 años en el año 2017. Fuimos pareja, mayormente de larga distancia, por nueve meses. Me aseguraré de mencionar publicaciones que haga sobre él aquí cuando las escriba.
